Learning outcomes of the course unit

Student will be introduced with figure of the Earth and mathematic surfaces (sphere, rotational ellipsoid)and solution basic geodetic problems (direct problem and inverse problem). Elementary information will be given about deflection of vertical, gravimetric methods, astronomical methods, geoid, satellite technologies and space geodesy.

Prerequisites

Measurements and computing geodetic observations on the plane, adjustment geodetic networks in plane.

Aims

Students adopt the global parameters for the figure of the eart and its gravity field. The earth´s curvature and gravity field must be considered in geodetic surveys. Applicatons of GPS satellite methods in geodetic systems and frames are studyied.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Extent and forms are specified by guarantor’s regulation updated for every academic year.
