Diploma seminar I (K-PKO)

FAST-CM52Acad. year: 2011/2012

Seminar is oriented on preparation of diploma work as a feasibility study or roads, streets and motorways design or on solution of a practical problem in road laboratory or pavement diagnostics. Each student independently prepares and presents specific problems following different problems of diploma works that are discussed in seminar. During the seminar the student collects all data and requirements needed for preparation of diploma work.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students get familiarized with special issues concerning their diploma work. According to the topic of their work they deal with laboratory methods, standard tests, used software, regulations and standards, practical examples.

Prerequisites

Highway design, route design, road dimensioning and design, LAYEPS software for design of pavement, road building technologies, road network capacity.
