Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students understand standard theories of traffic flo and processes in traffic flow. They get familiarized with modelling techniques and with basic phenomena in traffic flow. They gain knowledge of new telematic technologies and their objectives.

Prerequisites

Common knowledge of mathematics and physics. Road design. Algorithm development in engineering work.

2. Traffic flow theory, conservation law, fundamental diagrams
3. Macrosopic models of traffic flow
4. Microsopic models of traffic flow
5. Celular automata for traffic flow modelling
6. Car following models
7. Analogue simulation of traffic flow
8. Sensitivity of the model to parameter variance
9. Different versions of model, influence on traffic flow characteristics
10. Logistics and its development, concept and scientific principles
11. Logistic methods, technologies and realtionships
12. Information systems, information propagation in traffic systems
13. Telematic aplications, influence to traffic flow
