Art - Drawing II

Drawing and the effort to grasp its potential. Understanding of the significance of drawing as a means of interpretation and analysis of the space and object seen. Getting acquainted with the tools of drawing, and checking the expressive potential of its correct mastering. Drawing treatment of a simple geometric space and of the volumes of bodies of which it consists. Perspective positioning of objects towards the viewer, and its correct mastering.
Analysis by drawing of an architectural space and of the geometric volume of bones. Proportional analysis and building of the human figure by drawing, in its successive steps - scull - whole skeleton - head - detail - whole figure. The drawing of a figure after a model, with view to its architectonics. Building of an architectural space after one's own idea, and analysis of its quality.

Deeper knowledge and command of drawing as means of building up abstract volumes and spaces, both seen and sought for.
Deeper mastering and understanding of line as basic means of drawing.
Deeper mastering and understanding of proportions, and significance of their mutual relations for abstraction of the recorded volume and space.
Deeper mastering and understanding of the shadow's function in expressing the recorded volume and space.
Deeper mastering and understanding of linear perspective as a means of expressing the recorded volume and space.

Prerequisites

No special knowledge is reaquired for mastering the subject.
Beneficial is permanent interest in plastic arts, culture and cultural events in general.
Experiance in drawing gained at previous tutorials may speed up the command of the knowledge aimed at.
Important is the interest in the subject, capability of concentration,and a certain extent of talent for plastic art.

After submission of collection of works, according to assignments for individual weeks.
Two weeks absence is tolerated (without giving reasons).
Evaluated is the fulfilment of the program's objectives set for the individual weeks.
