The course develops the students´ language skills for talking to people in business situations, business correspondence, presentation of the company and its products, promotion and sales, talking about money matters, communication in a company, and negotiations.

The students will learn how to communicate in business situations - speak on telephone, write business letters, talk about the company, its products, promotion and sales, and money matters, make presentations.

Prerequisites

An intermediate level of English is required (CEF B1). Completion of the subject Practical English.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Work with business vocabulary, its application in writing and speaking tasks, multimedia tasks, role play, pairwork, group work, presentations.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

1. credit, maximum number of points 40, 20 for listening, 20 for test
2. examination written and oral - 60 points, 30+30
