The course provides an overview of the main types of enterprise makret applications, business models and delivery methods for their use in enterprise resource planning, production planning and management, logistics and supply chain management of relationships with customers and suppliers, support management decision making.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students will gain an overview of the main types of business applications and their usage. They will also acquire the knowledge necessary for performing the analytical work, the specification requirements for enterprise information system, implementation of selection, implementation and operation of enterprise applications. Students will be able to participate in the management of implementation projects. The exercise implemented on Microsoft Dynamics NAV user will receive basic knowledge and skills in managing economic and business processes.

Prerequisites

Secondary school knowledge of informatics and knowledge of operating, database and office systems and internet applications using.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

For getting a course-unit credit, the attendace at seminars is mandatory. Students also have to make a specified credit work in Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
The test consists of a written and an oral part. If the result of written exam is not clear, then student has to pass oral examination.

Aims

The aim of the course is to provide an overview of the main types of enterprise market applications, business models and delivery methods for their use in enterprise resource planning, production planning and management, logistics and supply chain management, relations with customers and suppliers, support management decision making.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Attendance at lectures is not compulsory, but is recommended. Attendance at seminars is compulsory and controlled. Absence from seminars cannot be compensated for via consultations with the tutor.
