Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students will acquire communication skills when discussing specialised economic topics in English language and will have a grasp of the teaching methodology used in EU countries.

The Course in English language is a follow-up to the courses taught within the study programme Corporate Finance and Business

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Examination shall be organized as written test. The test shall consist of three free questions, without any options of answer. Questions can be both of theoretical and application nature (f.e. evaluation of factual situation with the use of given method). Test might be as well in the form of short case study. Test shall be scored with up to 100 points and mimimum is 50. Time schedule for a.m. test is 120 minutes.

Aims

The main objective of the course is to familiarise students with approaches to the teaching of economic courses at foreign universities, emphasizing knowledge of professional economic terminology in English.
