The subject expands the gained knowledge and provides further information and skills regarding regeneration, reconditioning and rehabilitation, from psychology and the basics of mental hygiene.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students will be competent to work in regeneration, recondition and rehabilitation services with respect to running and organization of the services.

Prerequisites

Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, body-work, compensation exercise and body building.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

CLASSIFIED CREDIT REQUIREMENTS:
1. active participation in practical classes(50%)
2. written test (30 %)
3. oral test (20%)

Active participation means:
1. 80% presence in classes (i.e. 2 classes out of 11 may be missed without any reason, any other absence will be charged -5 points; no absence substitution possible)
2. self-study with respect to topic
3. active participation in discussion
4. adequate response to teacher's inquiries
5. self-work tasks accomplishment

Written test: To be explained during the first class.

Oral test: To be explained during the first class.

2. Means and forms of regeneration, recondition and rehabilitation
3. Physiotherapy - position in healthcare system
4. Spa - types, organization
5. Ergonomics
6. Regeneration, recondition, and rehabilitation stays - latest offers, organization
7. Regeneration, recondition, and rehabilitation services reimbursment (insurance/cash payment)
8. Equipment of gym, recondtion zones - schools, administration and bussiness centers, factories; fitnesscenters in reconditioning process
9. Fitness and wellness – self study (the exact task will be given in the first class)
10. Regeneration, recondition and rehabilitation in children and youth – self study (the exact task will be given in the first class)

Aims

The aim of the subject is to gain theoretical and practical skills and experience wellness, relaxation, regeneration and rehabilitation services and to get familiar with the principal of providing such services in real life.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Practical lessons are compulsory. The subject will be classified by a credit. There will be self-work tasks given during the term to be controlled and evaluated during the following classes.
