Social-Psychological Competencies of a Manager

The course focuses on the basic theoretical knowledge from social-psychology, especially those that are applicable in managerial work. The course offers also a space for a personal experience, the development of self cognition, and a training of basic social, psychological, and communicative skills usable in practice.

The course strengthen the competency of the absolvent in the area of social psychology, especially regarding interpersonal, informative, decision-making, organisational and motivational competencies.

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.

The conditions of successful graduation of this course are oral presentation, a written elaborate handed in therm and pasing the exam.

Aims

The aim of the course is to offer the overview about the basic theoretical and applicable knowledge in managerial competences. The emphasis is especially on social psychological consequences in the area of management, the problematic of communication in specific interpersonal situations.
