Composites - introduction, composite applications, resin matrices, fibers, interphases. Composite mechanics. Micromechanics, mechanics of a lamina, laminate mechanics. Composite manufacturing technologies. Composite testing and standardization. Particulate filled plastics. Mechanics of particulate composites. Effects of particle-matrix adhesion.Aplikace kompozitních materiálů v letectví a kosmonautice, umělé kosti, asbestová vlákna, automobilové kompozity, borová vlákna, uhlík-uhlík kompozity, kontinuální skleněná vlákna, defekty vláken, stárnutí a únava kompozitů, cementy vyztužené vlákny, polymerní vláknové kompozity, vlákna a textil, termochemické vlastnosti, plasty vyztužené sklem, anorganická oxidová vlákna, kompozity polymer-polymer, SiC kompozity. Mechanika kompozitů, mikromechanika, makromechanika, lomová mechanika kompozitů, rázové chování a únava. Vztahy mezi vlastnostmi kompozitu, architekturou výztuže a stavem mezivrstev na rozhraní výztuž-matrice.
