The course is divided into four blocks. The first block focuses on the general basics of textile chemistry and technology with a particular focus on the production and development of technical textiles. This section includes introduction to conventional natural and synthetic fibers for the textile industry. Second block of lectures focuses on advanced fibers for specialized applications - high-performance fibers, thermally / chemically resistant, functional fibers. The next section discusses in more detail the selected application areas of technical textiles (sports textiles, fireproof textiles, geotextiles, medical textiles), focusing on their characteristics (special requirements, raw materials, technology, etc.). The last block of lectures focuses on the introduction to the chemistry and technology of sorbents - summarizes the main theoretical background of sorption processes, experimental determination of basic sorption characteristics.
