Basics of cell biology in vitro: structure and functions of the cell; isolation into and maintenance of cells from multicellular organism into in vitro systems; mastering the specialty of preparation of live cells for microscopical observations. Protocols of in vitro investigations of cell behaviour. Interpretation and evaluation of results of microscopical observations of cell behaviour. The role of light microscopy techniques for study of live cells in vitro: principles of light microscopy, fluorescent and confocal microscopy, quantitative phase contrast in holographic microscopy, image processing and analysis.
