Course detail

Thermal Turbines II

FSI-LT2Acad. year: 2012/2013

The course extends the knowledge of the physical processes in the transformation of thermal or pressure energy into mechanical power, and vice versa, by thermal turbines and turbo-compressors, acquired in previous courses. The lectures are concerned with the determination of basic parameters and design concept of a machine, detailed design calculations and the design of the whole machine, and important details in the design. Students will learn how to link together energy, technical, operational, economic and environmental demands in the machine design.
