Waste Treatment and Recycling

FSI-KODAcad. year: 2012/2013

The course is focused on particular methods of elimination of municipal and industrial wastes by landfilling, incineration and above all by the recycling process. In the opening part of the course the students are introduced to current legislation on the environment protection, wastes and other relevant acts and regulations. The division of the wastes itself follows. In the next part the students are introduced to the methods of combustion, landfilling and to restoration of closed landfills. A great part of the course is dedicated to recycling of chosen materials and description of particular recycling technologies.
