This subject makes the students familiar with the design and operation of the industrial and distribution networks.

Operation and design of compensated networks, fault location. Voltage characteristics and regulation in DS. Connection of distributed generation sources in DS. Evaluation and reliability indicators.

The subject knowledge on the Bachelor´s degree level is requested.

Different network concepts in neutral point treatment terms.
Dimensioning and operation of compensated network, earth fault protection.
Distribution networks with local generation and their negative effects on energy quality.
Distribution lines protections against overvoltage and overcurrent.
Remote control, measuring and information transport.
Electrical network reliability.

Aims

Aim of this subject is getting at the basic knowledge of designing, technology and operation modes of industrial and distribution installations.
