Foreign Language 2 (Spanish)

This course is a follow-up course to HSP1. It develops communicative abilities,vocabulary and grammar, it offers listening with the use of more advanced audio- and video-courses. Students will be lent original Spanish textbooks for work in class.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

The student will develop and improve all his/her language skills and grammar in Spanish compared to HSP1. They will enrich their Spanish vocabulary and will be able to
demonstrate listening/reading comprehension of more complicated texts . They will be able to express themselves about the past, present and future.

Prerequisites

A completed HSP1 course for beginners or equivalent knowledge to U 1-5 of Fiesta 1 textbook is requested.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in Article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

For successful completion of the course the students are required to do assignments given by the teacher and do a credit unit test (40 points max. and 20 points min.) and pass a final examination worth 60 points maximum and 30 points minimum.

3. imperative, more irregular verbs
4. quantifiers, dar, more numerals
5. reflexive verbs, infinitive structures
6. weights and measures, more numerals, pretérito compuesto
7. future tense, adverbs of manner
8. comparatives and superlatives, superlative absolute
9. personal pronouns, conditional
10. more irregular verbs, every, all
11. past simple tense
12. revision
13. semester test

The aim is to develop all language skills acquired in HSP1.

The content and forms of instruction in the evaluated course are specified by a regulation issued by the lecturer responsible for the course and updated for every academic year.
