The aim of the course is to familiarize the students with basic principles of modern management of enterprise efficiency, principles of system and statistical thinking so that they would be able to apply them within a whole company as well as within partial processes. It provides basic knowledge on European quality policy and complex systems of quality assurance in the context of environmental protection and occupational safety and health protection in the EU as a condition of placing products on the market. It presents the systems of technical standards important for definition of system interfaces (organizations, products). The obtained knowledge is a prerequisite for mastering follow-up courses of the branch and understanding of the significance of total quality of all processes for acceptability of the final product.
