Maintenance and technology of reconstructions

·Technology of the work procedure at reconstructions and repairs. Specific features of building reconstructions. Problem sphere of site facilities establishment for reconstructions – for various types of constructions with regard to their location.
·Attic building-in, suitable types of buildings for building-in, construction – technical search, possibilities of construction solution of building-in and their practical implementation.
Carpenter jobs, locksmith jobs, plasterboard structures, roof windows assembly, roofing, repairs of existing roofing, flashing, connecting to the existing distributions of sanitary technical installations and central heating.
Supporting of ceiling structures and truss, adaptations of truss and replacement defective elements, subsequent replacement of truss in building-in spaces on resided buildings.
·Renewal of panel buildings – construction-technical search – complete solution of reconstruction of panel buildings – complete procedure from the installations replacement, to sanitary units in flats, padding warm, repairs of roofs, penthouses, repairs of balconies and loggias, replacements and reconstructions of lifts, replacement of windows and entrance doors, sanitation of concrete structures.
·Reconstruction of old buildings – apartment houses, administration houses (examples of reconstruction in process). Construction-technical search. Sanitation of foundation structures, sanitation of load-bearing walling, sanitation of roof structures.
·Static strengthening of timber roof structures. Subject matter of hurdis ceilings – failures, causes, procedure at repairs
·Specific features at price calculation for reconstruction works.
·Decree of the Ministry of Local Development 137 /1998 Comp. on general technical construction requirements.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Knowledge of problems and specific technology of reconstruction works, which is different of technology a new buildings.
Knowledge of creation of price for reconstruction, repairing and maitenance of building.
Konowledge of technological advancement using in the past times.
Knowledge of quality building materials inbuilt to construction and their lifetime periods in specific type building.

Prerequisites

Knowledge of structures of building constructions include technology of execution of new structures, basic knowledge in the branch of static of structures and characteristics of building materials.

Co-requisites

Knowledge of characteristics of building materials, their lifetime periods, prices of bulding works in field of repairing and maintenance of building.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Presencion on lectures extent at least 80 %, on exercises 90%, processing of assigned instructions for using of building, calculating tables of lifetime periods individual constructions.

Course curriculum

1. Basic terms – reconstruction, modernisation, repair, maintenance, failures, life time etc. Introduction into the topic.
2. Renewal of panel buildings – construction – technical search – complete solution of reconstruction of panel buildings.
3. Replacement of installations, of sanitary units in flats – walling of Ytong, SDK, repairs of balconies and loggias, replacement and reconstruction of lifts, replacement of windows and entrance doors.
4. Reconstruction of old buildings – apartment houses, administration buildings (examples of reconstructions in process). Construction-technology search.
5. Attic building-in, suitable types of buildings, construction – technical search and their practical implementation.
6. Supporting of ceiling structures and truss, adaptations of truss and replacement of defective elements, subsequent replacement of truss in building-in spaces on resided buildings.
7.Sanitation of foundation structures, removal of water content in masonry – examples of realisations.
8.Problem sphere of hurdis type ceilings – failures, causes, procedure at repairs.
9.Sanitation of load-bearing walling, sanitation of ceiling structures. Static strengthening of timber roof structures.
10.Public notic n.502/2006 Sb.about universal technical requirements of building.
