Specialized Project (S-PST)

FAST-CH06Acad. year: 2012/2013

Students are expected to prove their abilities to draw up a partial technical solution that will be the part of realization design of a building. The text part of the documentation consists of a technical report, determination of a building energy demand and a fire protection report. The graphic part involves design drawings in accordance with the law no.183/2006 col. and the execution ordinance no.499/2006 col. about building designs and documentation.
The specializations relating to static design (concrete and masonry structures) and to building services will be chosen in the right stage of the design process in order to fulfil the purpose of collaboration among specialists and a civil engineer.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

The processing the complete of the project of building of civic amenities. Entering buildings with at least two aboveground stories and with basement. Roof truss or the roof + receding floor. Location of the building foreseen in the urban areas. The implementation documentation can be in two for selected areas of specialization of technical device of buildings, concrete and masonry structures or of wood and metal structures - to the extent of 30% of total. The solution is individual and is consistent with the specifications thesis.
An alternative is assignment is processing the theoretical work in the field of building physics, typology, fire safety, construction details, etc. Part of this theoretical work will be the drawing of solved theory.

Prerequisites

An understanding of the content from the bachelor’s study programme “Building engineering” and furthermore from the 1st and 2nd semester of the master study programme.

Co-requisites

Typological design principles buildings, the basic technical solutions for individual structural units (foundations, vertical and horizontal structures, stairways, perimeter and roof, the requirements of building physics, static structures, fire safety of buildings.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
