Learning outcomes of the course unit

A student gains these knowledge and skills:
Virtue for application of the knowledge gain fromthe previous lessons in designing concrete structures.
Virtue for application of the knowledge gain fromthe previous lessons in designing masonry structures.
Virtue to analyse and solute correctly the specialised problems concerning to the diploma thesis.

Prerequisites

design of concrete and masonry structures

Co-requisites

do not required

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations. Education runs in a form of training. The main subject matters are trained on individually defined projects.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

To gain the credit, the students should elaborate individually defined design. The students are obliged to consult the design continuously in the given terms and submit it to the fixed date. The presences in training lessons are checked.

Course curriculum

1.– 6. Individual design of a part of the project aimed at load-bearing structures of civil engineering and industrial buildings. Consultation. Correction.
7. Presentation and defence of the project.
8. Evaluation of the project.

Work placements

Aims

From the previous lessons gained knowledge to apply in designing concrete and masonry constructions.
Correctly analyse and solute specialised problems concerning to the diploma thesis.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Extent and forms are specified by guarantor’s regulation updated for every academic year.
