Technology of constructions III

Course contents:
- Concrete technology, concrete constructions rehabilitation, constructions damp-proofing, making of construction isolations, cast and self-leveling floors, and making of enclosing shells and roof cladding.
- The objective of this course is to teach the students the newest technologies used in construction building.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Course objectives:
Knowledge acquisition of the technology processes for:
- Reinforced concrete monolithic construction;
- Sprayed concrete;
- Construction isolation;
- Construction objects damp-proofing;
- Cast and self-leveling floors;
- Roof cladding and enclosing shells.
Knowledge of the causes for concrete construction defects and the methods for their elimination.

Prerequisites

Knowledge of construction technology processes taught in the Technology I and Technology II courses.

Co-requisites

Basic knowledge of the building materials.

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.

Course curriculum

1.Lining masonry for vented façade systems – Klinker (application, materials, technological procedures, semi-production, price issues).
Suspended metal-plastics building claddings – SCHÜCO system.
Pre-suspended vented facades – STYL 2000
2.Removalof humidity in old buildings – technology of venting using a knop foil, sanitation plasters, reverse osmosis, injecting, vented linings – practical application on sites.
3.Reinforced concrete monolithic structures – execution with application of auxiliary preparations for steel works, solution of thermal bridges, atypical reinforced concrete structures.
4. System formwork and their applications on construction. (PERI, MEVA, DOKA).
5. sealing systems for constructions joints and joint gap, materials and using know how.
6.Redevelopment of concrete monolithic structures - corrosion of armature, principle of concreat degradation of concrete.
7.Clasification of conctete, stabilisation of reinforced concrete monolithic structures.
8.Poured self-levelling floors – Knauf, Hasit, Baumit - (suitable applications, technology, labour demand, application of mechanisms, economic evaluation).
9.Roofing – execution of copper roofing, titan zinc roofing, plastic coated steel roofing, application of chamber plastic systems for trans-lighting of roofing.
10.Smal unit roofing – latest types – ceramic, concrete roofing, asphalt roof shingles, cement-fabric roofing incl. accessory material for holes, venting etc.

Syllabus

Seminars syllabus:
1.ČSN EN 13760 - "Automotive LPG filing system for light and heavy duty vehicles - Nozzle, test requirements and dimensions". Concrete constructions making, reinforced concrete monolithic constructions making with the use of auxiliary preparations for hardware works, thermal bridges solution, construction joints.
2.System frameworks and their application on the constructions.
3.Quality control for the building of concrete constructions, concreting of massive concrete construction, concrete treatment, concreting in unfavorable climatic conditions.
4.Concrete constructions rehabilitation and maintenance, steel reinforcement corrosion and concrete disintegration mechanisms, surface reparation, and protection of reinforced concrete constructions.
5.Concrete - Part 1: Specification, performance, production and conformity; Sprayed concrete - Part 1: Definitions, specifications and conformity definition, specification and correspondence; Testing sprayed concrete - Part 1: Sampling fresh and hardened concrete Testing sprayed concrete - Part 2: Compressive strength of young sprayed concrete.
6.Damp-proofing by slub tinfoil ventilation, reconstruction plastering, electroosmosis, ventilated facing - practical use on the constructions.
7.Small unit covering, copper roofing, zinc-titanium, plastic and steel roof covering with complementary materials for penetration and ventilation - their practical use on the constructions.
