Bachelor Seminar (S-PST)

The subject is aimed at the individual task of an adequate technical problem linked with the project of the 5th term of the study plan or with another actual technical problem according to the tutor assignment. The technical problems are assigned to be solved on a professional level (with respect to the graduation of the bachelor study). This seminary work – scope and form, calculations and design methods are regularly consulted with a tutor. The seminary works are completed in technical reports.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

The subject is aimed at the individual task of an adequate technical problem linked with the project of the 5th term of the study plan or with another actual technical problem according to the tutor assignment. Prerequisites

The aim of the course is to learn graduate of a bachelor studies how to solve suitable technical problems in the professional, methodical and also in the courtly part of the project, using accessible informations. Improving necessary knowledges needed for the final project.

Co-requisites

Designing of building constructions, principal knowledge of building heat engineering, acoustics and illumination, basic knowledge of structural mechanics, concrete and masonry constructions, metal and wooden constructions, building equipment, building technology and control.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.

Course curriculum

1.-13. Students complete reports on the basis of their knowlege acquired from previous technical subjects and recommended study literature. Consultations with experts from the branch and additional training courses are supposed. The final elaboration should contain assessments and calculations, design studies, technical details, etc.

Aims

The aim of the course is to be in contact with the technical field professionals and acquired knowledges and use them for work on the final report.
