Fine Arts V.

Basic information on mutual influence and coaction of architecture and the disciplines of the fine arts in history and the present time emphasizing 20th-century development. Principles and regularity of the effect of a work of art in an architectonic and urbanistic space, study of this regularity by means of a model and drawing of the existing works. Personal experience of creating a work of art for an assigned architectonic and urbanistic space.

Prerequisites

The subject connects with the disciplines of the Fine Arts and it applies the knowledge gained in the architectonic design studios in the preceding semesters.

History of art and architecture.

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Condition for crediting the course is min 80% attendance and submitting the individual project on the art in architecture phenomena.

2. Study of the existing works – a sculpture in an architectonic and urbanistic space
3. Study of the existing works – a painting in an architectonic and urbanistic space
4. Study of the existing works – a work of graphics in an architectonic and urbanistic space
5. Study of the existing works – the applied arts in an architectonic and urbanistic space
6. Choice and assignment of a proper task – a work of art in architecture

Aims

Gaining the subconsciousnes of the interaction between architecture and the fine arts, simulation of cooperation of an architect and an artist, the fine arts in architecture by kinds, own creation.
