Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students will gain the ability to:
- focus on pricing and types of prices in the Czech Republic,
- orientation in the sort of price information in the construction industry,
- to establish the price of the works in construction,
- calculate the cost of construction work,
- find out the value of building as a property.

Prerequisites

Knowledge of labour engineering and work economy in civil engineering within subject Economics of building industry. Knowledge and skills are required especially from areas of work, material, machines and equipment standardization, wage and salary issues and coding and classification of building production issues.

Co-requisites

Labor standards, wages and salaries, building construction works, the technology works, the basics of business economics.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

The evaluation is complex and multi-criterial. Students earn points during the term. The attendance, case study and a written test are scored in the exercise. The activity is scored in the lectures during the term. The exam consists of a written test (maximum 60 points), written answers to questions (maximum 10 points) and oral examination (maximum 10 points). The mark reflects the work during the term (maximum 20 points) and exam (maximum 80 points)and results of acquired points (maximum 100).
