Course detail

Radio Receivers and Transmitters

FEKT-CRPVAcad. year: 2013/2014

Students become familiar with architecture of analogue and digital radio-communication systems (block scheme, basic functions). Further, the function of analogue and digital circuitry used in radio-communication systems (amplifiers, oscillators, mixers, filters, modulators, demodulators, etc.) are described. At the end the students obtain basic information about recent radio broadcasting systems (FM, DAB, DRM).

Aims

Lectures are aimed to present architecture, main building block functions and basic parameter definitions of analogue and digital radio communication systems, to explain principles of function of the electronic circuitry used in analogue and digital radio systems and to show examples of recent radio systems

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Evaluation of activities is specified by a regulation, which is issued by the lecturer responsible for the course annually.
