The subject focuses mainly on the following areas:
professionalism, scientific methodology and creativity, the structure of a bachealor's thesis and formal requirements regarding its arrangement, sources of information and citing of literature, errors during the production of the bachelor's thesis, working hypotheses, methods of solving a problem, presentation of bachelor's theses.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

After completing this subject, students will be able to define a problem, look up, sort and generalize information, create working hypotheses, look up and use a suitable method for the solution of a given problem, make a defence speech.

Knowledge and use of basic thought operations.

Exercises promote the practical mastery of subject presented in lectures or assigned for individual study with the active participation of students.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

For the awarding of a classified credit, fulfilment of the following conditions is required:
Submission of sub-papers within set deadlines, submission and presentation of a study for the bachelor's thesis. The classification grade depends on the keeping of the deadline, as well as the completeness and quality of the submitted materials.

Aims

The main aim of the subject is for students to become acquainted with the methodology of mental work, ways of acquiring, processing and using information, and the formal requirements of the bachelor's thesis. Also, fundamental skills will be acquired during the preparation, processing and presentation of the bachelor's thesis.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Submission of required materials on the announced monitoring days.
Students who are absent have to submit the required materials by an alternative deadline.
