Work Experience: City Camp

The subject focuses on the organizational aspect of holding a city camp, training camp, sports camp - preparation, then execution of what was prepared and leading a group of children or adults. Students will select an activity of their choice with which their work experience will take place under the leadership of their tutor.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students will select an activity of their choice with which their work experience will take place under the leadership of their tutor. The output of the subject is written material - a seminar thesis in which they will produce a project for the organization of a one-week block of activities for children or adults in the holiday period, execute it in practice and during this use the theoretical and practical knowledge from their studies.

During this use the theoretical knowledge and practical activities from ther studies.

Exercises promote the practical mastery of subject presented in lectures or assigned for individual study with the active participation of students.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Credit:
The graded credit requirements: active participation in the inaugural seminar, completion of the practice with written confirmation of the workplace in the range of 44.0 hours and to submit a paper of 15 pages.

The final exam and the final evaluation of the course:
Graded credit consists of participation in the introductory seminar (20%), completion of the practice in the range of 44.0 hours with confirmation (30%) and individual work tasks (50%). The total possible points: 100, the classification is as follows:
A 100 - 90 1
B 89 - 80 1,5
C 79 - 70 2
D 69 - 60 2,5
E 59 - 50 3
F 49 - 0 4

Aims


The aim of the course is to get more theoretical knowledge and skills in area of organizing and securing several days events for children or adults, and to extend all the practical activities required to implement them.
Students will choose activities, which he will graduate in by tutoring of the teacher. The outcome of the course is a written document – essay. The student work up the project for week´s block activities for children and adults during the holiday season.

Active participation in practical training and independent production of a seminar thesis.
