Strategy Of Competitive Encounters

The aim of the subject is to gain knowledge from the preparation and management area of competitiveness. Also some competitive practises using in Czech Republic will be discussed. Students will also meet with specific information system of the company.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students will have a clear idea of modern approaches and methods applied for preparation and management of the competitive struggle with another company.

Prerequisites

Process of corporate strategic management, analysis of domain environment of the company, analysis of corporate internal factors

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Lectures consist of an explanation of basic principles, methodology of the discipline, problems and their solutions.
Exercises promote the practical mastery of subject presented in lectures or assigned for individual study with the active participation of students.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Conditions for awarding the course-unit credit:
1. Active participation in exercises will be controlled and assessed by teacher – max. 100 points.
2. Successful completion of credit test – max assessment: 100 points in due term, 80 points in resit exam and 60 points in second resit exam.
3. Successful elaboration of semester work in a preset deadline. Maximum 100 points for handing over on the deadline max 80 points for late handing over.
4. Total number of points for awarding the course-unit credit has to be higher than 150.

- Basic philosophy of the offensive approach to the competitive struggle
- Optimal concentration of forces
- Shock effect
- Choosing the of a place for a struggle
- Strategy means and goals adjustment
- Changes in the way of struggle management
- Samurai principles of the competitive struggle management
- Readiness of the Czech TOP management for the competitive struggles
- Specific information system of a company

Aims

The main objective of the course is to provide students with necessary knowledge and skills from the field of preparation for and management of the competitive struggle with another company

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Control of results of independent work on specified tasks. Excused absence from seminars make be compensated for via additional condition set by the teacher, usually via elaboration of partial written task.
