Subject "Project Management" is devoted to one from basics management lines applied on several human activities. Importance of this line in increasing. Good project management is necessary for success. For
"process engineering" the technology of project management creates basic tool how successfully solve all stages of project realisation.
Subject is focussed mainly on practical aspects of management based on practical project examples.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students should be aware of complex of problems which are connected to project realisation and importance of team work (its preferences and difficulties). Obtained theoretical knowledge should be help to students during selection of project management tools. Subject also should be help to increase the students communication abbilities and vocational qualification.

Prerequisites

Basic knowledges of chemical engineering.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The course is taught through lectures explaining the basic principles and theory of the discipline. Exercises are focused on practical topics presented in lectures.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Inclusion and Exam.
Inclusion requirements:
- active participalion on working lessons
- preparation and presentation of case studies
Exam:
- elaboration of project model
- successfull written test
(evaluation: excellent- at least 30 points, very good - at least 25 points, good - at least 20 points, failed - less than 15 points)

Aims

The purposes and aims of subject "Project Management" are as follows:
- students obtain basic theoretical knowledge from project management
- orientation of students during practical realisation of process capital equipment and informations about possible risks during project realisation
- to teach students to team solution of problems and presentation of results
- to offer informations about possible work as project manager
