Problematics of the analytical sample and the evaluation of results. A special attention will be done to the methods of sample preparation, the methods of sample decomposition, to the use of chemical and instrumental methods. A survey of contemporaneous methods, chemical and instrumental used during the solving of selected problems of analysis of metals, alloys and non-metals.Analysis of Iron and steels, their phases and speciations and components. Determination of carbon and gases. Analysis of selected metalic components in steel. Separation and determination of non-metal inclusions by chemical and instrumental methods in iron. Determination of trace components in steels. Analysis of ferroalloys.Analysis of alloys of copper, tin, zinc and nickel; analysis of Sb, Sn, Pb alloys; analysis of light alloys(Mg, Al).Application of alloys on the basis of Zr, Ti, Mo, W, U.Analysis of gases in metals.Analysis of silicates and related materials, glasses, slags and ciments. Analysis of very hard, ceramic and special materials.Methods for analysis of surfaces and thin layers.Characteristics and analysis of semiconductors and nanomaterials.Principles and problems of of trace and ultratrace inorganic materialsPrinciples of analysis of cosmic objects.
