The nature of light, basics of geometry optics, imaging with optic elements (mirrors and lens), lens aberrations, simple optic apparatus principle (glass, microscope, telescope and camera). Basics of wave optics, interference microscope, Fourier transform, holographic record principle. Basics of quantum physics and Solid State physics. Principle of optoelectronic elements, camera tubes and displays, CCD circuits (digital cameras). Electrophotography, laser printing, ink printing. Fractal and harmonic analysis of images. Record of images on PC storage medium (CD, DVD), processing of images on PC.
