Course curriculum

1. The principles of X-Ray Computed Tomography (CT), X-Ray radiation, X-ray interaction with material, radiology.
2. Reconstruction from projections, basic principles, inverse projection, filtered inverse projection, sinogram.
3. Micro- and nano- CT systems and components
4. The practical applications of micro- a nano- CT systems.
5. An experiment preparation, sample analysis and postprocessing (data visualization)
6. Metrology and kvantification of the microstructures.
7. Solid samples with porous structure.
8. Study of the various structures formed by the material processing or environmental influences.
9. Study of the defects formed by the mechanical damage – deformations, cracks,...
10. Surface analysis by CT to check the dimensions accuracy in reversal engineering
11. Combination of the CT and other diagnostic methods.
