Learning outcomes of the course unit

The result of teaching is managing general overview of the geotechnical disciplines. It is the soil and rock mechanics, engineering geology and hydrogeology, foundation and underground structures. Students will become familiar with the basic types, specifics and technology works and structures. It is also familiar with the instrumentation and monitoring in geotechnical and geodetic methods used in it.

Prerequisites

No one special principles. General knowledge of civil engineering, techniques and natural sciences.

Co-requisites

Not applicable.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Teaching methods are standard. Interpretation of the lectures are supplemented with simple practical examples in practice. Part of the course is the excursion.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

The credit must be met by participation in education and training programs from solved exercises.
The test is performed in the form of a check test.
