3D Modelling and Virtual Reality

The course makes students familiar with parametric voluminous simulation with the help of structural members. It deals with practical application of computer technology required for mastering basic methods of creation of parts, assemblies and drawing documentation with implementation create models into virtual reality.

Students will have an overview of parametric systems and master the work in Proengineer system.

Basic knowledge of machine design.

The course is intended for the combined form of study, indivudual work of students is directed by lectures and exercises taught en bloc.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

The course-unit credit is awarded on condition of having attended the exercises (80% as minimum) and worked out a project for a given topic.

Aims

The aim of the course is to make students familiar with a parametric system ProEngineer and its use in the design process from proposing an industrial design, over a draft design and detailed construction, to working out a production documentation.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Participation in the exercises is compulsory. Justified absence can be compensated by personal consultation with the lecturer.
