Metrology for Medical Applications

What is metrology and why it is necessary to analyze the biomedical field. Development and optimization of analytical methods to determine the parameters for repeatability and reproducibility. The metrological characteristics of analytical methods, limit of detection, limit of quantification, return, continuity, robustness, control long-term stability of analytical methods, validation, and uncertainty. Good analytical practice, quality assurance of analytical results in the biomedical field.

Aims

The course provides basic knowledge about the importance of metrological parameters necessary for trace analysis of analytes monitored in biomedical fields

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Students of the combined form of study prepare presentation of seminar work. Teaching will be checked through discussion in classes after the end of the lecture block.
