Laboratory Classes at Technology of Waste Treatment

Excursions to the selected plants for Processing and Disposal of Waste. Gathering sites, Landfills, Recycling facilities, biodegradable wastes, utilization of sludges, Biogas production, Utilization of Wastes for Alternative Fuels and Construction of Incinerating Plant.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The course uses teaching methods in form of Laboratory exercise - 2 teaching hours per week. The e-learning system (LMS Moodle) is available to teachers and students.

Credit for the participation on the Excursions (field trips) , included also the Writting Report about Excursions (field trips) and also Homework,

Course curriculum

Excursion of waste treatment plants, sewage disposal, collective sites, landfills, recycling sites, and refuse incinerating plants.

Aims

Practical illustration of the treatment of wastes - paper, glass, iron (steel), metals, sludges, electrical and electronical equipments included accumulators and batteries, end-of-life vehicles, plastics and rubber, tyres. Machines and various equipments for the selection and waste treatment

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences
