Basic knowledge of meteorology: main meteorological quantities, measurement and processing of selected meteorological data. Climatology focused on European climate, climate of the CR and climate change.

Prerequisites

Basic knowledge of mathematics, physics, chemistry, hydrology, geography

Co-requisites

Measurement and evaluation of selected meteorological quantities, such as precipitation. Climatic areas, data processing.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.
Oral lectures with Power Point presentations. Video documents on selected topics.
Seminars - measurement and evaluation of measured data, calculations, Power Point presentations on selected topics. On-line tests from selected topics.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

For a successful finishing of the subject, student has to:
- be present in seminars,
- have presentations of selected topics from meteorology,
- work on given tasks, measurement and evaluation of meteorological data
- pass a written exam and
- hand over his presentations.
