Learning outcomes of the course unit

To get knowledge of cost planning and management in the construction company by using of up-to-date control methods with in the frame of project management systems. Acquiring the ability touse model planning and cost control. The ability to manage partial production costs during construction. Observing and solving of collision situations of production in the construction company. Ability to work with control systems.

Prerequisites

Basics about drive production management in building company. Ability to manage building production with the management systems support.

Co-requisites

Knowledge of law in business, managerial techniques and financial analysis in the construction company

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The course is taught through lectures, practical classes and self-study assignments. Attendance at lectures is optional, but attendance at classes is compulsory.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Evaluation of obtained skills by written test. Successful completion of the test requires acquisition of min. 50points. The evaluation is partially supplemented by an oral examination. Assessment of skills on exercises is made according to attendance, handing in and defending of semestral work on particular task “Optimization of profit creation in the construction company”.
