Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The course is taught through lectures, practical classes and self-study assignments. Attendance at lectures is optional, but attendance at classes is compulsory.

Checking attendance at exercises,regular consultations of protocols specified in exercises

Course curriculum

1. Environmental management. Current legislation in CR and EU.
2. Introduction of environmental system management in the building company – certification.
3. Environmental impact assessment for construction plans and their realization.
4. Environment friendly constructions. Civil and residential housing – structure parts of buildings – operating units with regard to the environment.
5. Proposal for the site facilities and environmental impact. Construction and process management on site – environmental protection and hygienic limits.
6. Waste handling on site and waste classification. Recycling of building production wastes – their utilization in the site plans.
7. Noise limits and noise level studies of the site.
8. Handling with construction chemical agents. Safety Data Sheets of construction products.

Aims

The objective of the lessons is integration of students in the building organization management system in line with environmental management system in integrated systems related with occupational safety. Utilization of the knowledge of environmental protection at work in the Building Authorities.
