Real Estate Valuation

Basic terminology of real estate valuation. Law regarding property valuation – introduction, analysis and the uses of valuation. Execution and regulation of the law regarding property valuation – the introduction, analysis, use and examples of real estate valuation. Principles of real estate valuation, areas of use and examples.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students will get knowledge of the evaluation of real estate
Students will make the acquaintance of law regulation in evaluation of real estate in detail
Students will orientate in kind of prices
Students will acquire rules for real estate choosing for market valuation of real estate
Students will get an overview of different approaches for market valuation of real estate

Prerequisites

Knowledge of costing, price setting and building constructions.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The course is taught through lectures, practical classes and self-study assignments. Attendance at lectures is optional, but attendance at classes is compulsory.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Required participation in seminars, elaboration of three case studies , face to face consultation, test with total sum 100 points, limit for classified credit is 50 points.

Aims

To get knowledge about valuation of real estate. Ability to analyse and evaluate prices for taxation purposes (administrative price) and for market needs (usual price).

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Extent and forms are specified by guarantor’s regulation updated for every academic year.
