Subject is focused to introduction of students with processes of particular company areas, with its selection, analysis and optimization in relation to integrated management system and implementation of information systems.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students obtain basic abilities and knowledge for management and improvement of business processes. Students will be able to coordinate activities in an implementation of integrated systems of management and implementation of enterprise information systems.

Prerequisites

Knowledge from management. Basic knowledge of work with products of information technologies.Logical thinking.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Education is held by lectures that has the character explanation of basic principles and methodology of given discipline. Practical understanding of problems presented during lectures is applied in individual semestr assignment processed during the semester, disussed and checked on lectures.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

For successful passing of the subject is compulsory attendance of lectures and preparation of individual semester assignment. An exam has written and oral part. Classification will be based on 50 % of results from the exam and on 50% of results from evaluation of written semester assignment.

Aims

The objective of course is to make students familiar with principles, analytical tools, modelling and managing of company processes in family businesses. Subject deal with issues of engineering / reengineering of company processes with link to information systems and technologies.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Attendance of lectures is compulsory. Processing of written semestr assignment is checked during the semester.

2. Family business specifics in the areas of management, finance and succession. Models of family business succession management. Communication and relations: company - family.
3. Business processes, analysis and optimization.
4. Global analysis of family business processes, process maps.
5. Detailed analysis of processes.
6. Process modelling, tools of a process modelling.
7. Event-Driven Process Chain Diagrams (EPC diagrams).
8. Standards for a process modelling.
9. Metrics for a process evaluation.
10. Example of process analysis in family company.
