Studio M2

Creative studio work is the main and essential means of teaching architecture. It is based on the "learning by doing" method, i.e. gaining knowledge and skills by practical application. It consists in the dialogue of the teacher with the student over a project that is being developed.
Thematically it covers one of the six modules. (M1-Urban architecture, M2 - Public buildings, M3- Architecture in the technical civilisation, M4- Architectural creation in historical environment, M5- Post-industrial city…, M7 - Architectural space - interior). The modules are defined for each academic year. They are listed in the study program.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

The student proves his or her ability to use the gainned knowlegde which is needed in building design.

Prerequisites

Successful mastering of the subject requires the completion of subjects taught in previous study, which put emphasis on the logic and hierarchy of indispensable information and experience needed for work of a creative architect.

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.

Submission of a design of an extent defined ind advance.

Semester is divided to the time sections determinate action critical discussion above in course of manufacture projectthat the sympathetic except all students and teachers also invited specialists.

The studio design has to prove the student's ability to apply in practice the knowledge and skills gained during the study.
