Subject Construction of civil engineering develops the knowledge of the subjects of Civil Engineering I - IV received the bachelor's degree. It focuses on contemporary design and technology related to new materials and materials supported by classical current technical capabilities. The new light will be presented construction of buildings made ​​of ceramic, ferro-concrete, metal, wood, glass and plastic. Developed will also knowledge about how to protect structures against the effects of fire and security against pests. An integral part of the course will also familiarize yourself with the latest results of the energy quality of construction and architecture.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students in this course of civil engineering construction will learn about the structures included in the latest designs and learn about the design direction of trends in building construction. Develop existing knowledge of the linkages and relationships that have become indispensable for his professional growth. Gets a pemzum sufficient knowledge that will become the support for the reasonable and proper architectural design.

Prerequisites

In the course of civil engineering construction is expected to completing the courses Constructions I and IV. For successful completion of the course is deemed appropriate, to continuously monitor student magazine and book literature with a focus on engineering and architecture. Orientations are welcome in foreign study materials.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

In terms of methodology is used in the form of thirteen lectures with an emphasis on self-study. The self is appropriately used by domestic and foreign literature, both in the form of books, journals and publications. Emphasis will be placed on recent literature sources.

6. Ways to protect steel structures in terms of fire protection.
7. The use of ceramics in energy efficient buildings.
8. Glass as a material bearing structures.
9. Glass as a smart material for building curtain walls of buildings.
10. High-rise buildings and buildings with large span built of ferro-concrete.
11. The use of prestressed concrete structures of buildings.
12. Textile material for construction roofing.
13. Natural materials in the building of buildings.

Aims

The goal is to develop the knowledge base gained in technical disciplines, has grown in the bachelor degree program. This is mainly to support education in the field of building construction of buildings, presented in context with the latest science and technology outputs. The focus of instruction will apply to those parts of the building materials, materials, structures and technologies that are currently present or are still in prototype or industrial designs.
