Course provides base knowledge about emerging (convergent) sciences and technologies, which are consequence of the interaction between mechanical engineering and natural sciences. In addition to general knowledge related to this field, the main attention is paid to the following areas: nanotechnologies, nanophotonics, use of solar energy, energetic materials, biotechnology, chemical robotics, biomimetics, computer vision, cognitive sciences, neuroeconomics and neuromarketing.
