Course detail

Mechanical processes in silicate technology

FCH-MCO_TTSAcad. year: 2015/2016

The content of the subject fully covers the proccesses and their controll in the technology of silicites. In particular the transport and storage of solids, liquids and gases, grinding and grinders, milling and mills, drying and drying equipment, flitration of gases and liquids, wash of quarry stone, furnaces and furnace systems, calcinators, heating and cooling, transfer of substances within the plant site – conveyor belts, piping systems, centrifugation, separation and basic tests and analyses neccessary at the control and adjusting of silicite production are meant.

Aims

The subject objective is to acquaint the students with the basic proccesses and their principles. Within the subject students shall get the view of the equipment which is used in the silicate industry and of the principles of the equipment‘s functioning. Also they shall get the view of the production and the volume capacity of silicates and their products within the Czech Republic and over the world.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

The attendance is not obligatory, solely the knowledge gained in corresponding semester will be evaluated.
