Structural funds and other funds and institutions financing structural and regional policies – European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), European Social Fund (ESF), European Agricultural Guarantee Fund (EAGR), European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD), Financial Instrument for Fisheries Guidance (FIFG); Cohesion Fund, European Investment Bank.
3. Legislative support of structural and regional policies – basic documents in the field of primary and secondary legislation; Committee of the regions.

The aim of the subject is to deepen students’ knowledge of regional policies in the EU and of the system of nomenclature of units for territorial statistics (NUTS). Regional policies of the EU will be introduced in a complex way – starting from the legislative provisions and tools for the enforcement of this policy within a territory, up to a selection of successful projects. Special attention will also be paid to the hierarchical structure of NUTS and local administrative units (LAU).
