English for the state doctoral exam

In the frame of the course, Ph.D. students are prepared to passing an exam from English. Passing the exam is a pre-condition to attend the doctoral state exam.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Skilled language user able to use all the language skills for the purposes of his specific profession in electrical engineering.

Prerequisites

B1 level in all English language skills

Teaching methods include active study based on e-learning sources.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Evaluation of all three parts of the written exam. Each part has to be passed for at least half of the points. The exams comprises listening comprehension, test on grammar structures, reading comprehension.
