Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students will have a clear idea of modern approaches in management and its functions of planning, organising, leadership and control.

Prerequisites

Knowledge of courses Corporate Economics, functions of company, its economics and results.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Teaching consists of lectures, which consist of an explanation of discipline, content, terms, structure and methods. The exercises are aimed at the practical side of the lectured topics.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

For obtaining the credit it is required successful processing of semester paper at a predetermined time and active participation in exercises and subsequent discussion.
During the semester, the individual activities of the exercises are evaluated by a point system, which is updated each semester by the types of tasks.
Students have the opportunity to earn points for:
• individual term project
• Team presentation on the actual topic
• processing questions from the case studies
• test
• Correction - additional individual project.
Examination Requirements: knowledge of subject matter and its practical applications.
Form of examination: written, oral examination depends on the result of the written test.
The test is classified according to ECTS.

The contents of the exercises is to practice recited around topics, processing and presentation of seminary work and case studies (individually and as a group).

Aims

The objective of the course is to provide students with knowledge of fundamentals of management, its terms, content, structuralization and methods.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Check the results of term paper, the results of solution of case studies, the results of the processing and presentation topics, check the results of the knowledge test.
In the case of excused absence from seminars on exercise, the teacher can set additional condition if appropriate, usually elaboration of partial written task.
