Organization of Production Preparation

Definition of status and role of operation management, including service and supporting activities, standardization of work preparation. Patents.Framing of normative management base as starting point of work preparation management. Ensuring of serviceability. New technologies and work techniques in organization of work preparation – Lean Production, fractal company. Managing of continuous change. World class production. Push and pull principle. Implication of work preparation.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Practical skills and knowledge for management of set-up periods of manufacturing process in small and middle size manufacturing enterprises.
Basic knowledge for magisterial studie sof „Management and economics of enterprise“.

Prerequisites

Subjekt concures to knowledge from subject Mathematics I and II, Economics of enterprise, Opening to material science and engineering, Informatics and database systems.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Lectures will be proceeded with using of didactical technique by using Power Pointe.
Seminars will take place as well as computational laboratory for the use of the product TPV 2000th.
To obtain an overview of the use of knowledge in practice and excursions in manufacturing enterprises

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Control of continuous study and preparation for graduation exercises during the semester and at the end of the semester to obtain credit in the form of written tests and 100% participation in laboratory exercises (compensation outs) and a tour of the factory.
Examination will be combined:written – 2 teoretical inquiries and 2 calculation example - 70%,Verbal - 30%. According to ranking of ECTS mentioned at Educational and probative regulativ of VUT in Brno.

Aims

Gaining knowledge management preproduction stages of the production process as the basis of engineering with ties to the introduction of industrial engineering in practice.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Presence at excerises is obligatory. Excused absence will be compensated at trial period.Participation in the excursion in manufacturing companies is also controlled
