Clinical Physiology

The course deals with the principles of human functions and methods for the diagnosis of various functional disorders. Students obtain a deep understanding and knowledge of medical diagnostic devices, which are used not only to monitor important functions of organisms, but also for advanced diagnostics of various functional diseases. Students will also learn about the common practice for professional medical workplace through educational excursion.

- Explain the function of the human cardiovascular system
- Explain the function of the respiratory system of man
- Explain the function of the digestive tract of man
- Describe and explain the principles of diagnostic devices for cardiovascular and respiratory system of man
- Explain the basic principles of scanning and digital signal processing
- Define requirements for electrocardiograph, electroencephalograph, elektrookulograf, electromyography, and spirometer
- Interpret changes of biosignals in response to physiological stimulus

2.Evaluation of function of organs and systems.
3.Key function physiologic indicators, investigative methods.
4.Possibilities and limitations of various diagnostic methods, perspectives of their development.
5.Technical instrumentation for diagnosis and monitoring functions
6.Educational excursion of students in a medical environment, familiarization with the investigative methods.
